You may already know that there are a lot of important parts inside a desktop computer,but what exactly do they do? In this video, we're going to take a look inside, to show you the various components that make a computer work. Every computer has a large circuit board called a motherboard. This contains some of the most important parts of your computer such as the CPU, also called the Central Processing Unit processor. The CPU is sometimes called the brain of the computer, because it processes information and carries out commands. Since it tends to get hot, it's covered by a piece of metal called a heat sink, which draws heat away from the processor. The motherboard also contains your computer's RAM, or Random Access Memory. This is the short-term memory that your computer uses whenever it's performing calculations. However,you can't store your files there, because the RAM is cleared when you turn off the computer. For long-term storage, your computer uses a hard drive, which keeps all of its data even when the computer is turned off. Most hard drives use a magnetic platter to store data, but many newer computers have solid-state drives, which are faster and more durable,but also more expensive. If you want to upgrade your computer, you can add expansion cards to the motherboard's expansion slots. You can add a video cardio get better graphics performance, or you can add a wireless card to connect to your wireless home network. Of course, your computer's components need electricity to run. The power supply unit is designed to take the power from the wall outlet and send it to all of the different components that need power. A desktop computer is a pretty complex machine, but now that you've seen what goes on inside,it should be a little less mysterious.
This is a typical desktop computer. It has various buttons and ports on the front and back of the computer case. We’re going to go over some of the most common ones, which you’ll find on most desktop computers. Let’s start with the front of the case. Most desktop computers have the power button on the front, although some all-in-one computer sput it on the back, behind the screen. Your computer will probably have an optical disc drive, also known as a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. This has either a tray or a slot where you can insert a CD, DVD, or even a Blu-ray disc, if it's a newer computer. If you have blank CD-R or DVD-R discs, you can write – or burn – data onto them. For convenience, your computer may have audio ports and USB ports on the front. That makes it easier to plug in your phone, headphones, or USB flash drive. You can also find audio and USB ports on the back of the computer. You’ll usually have several USB ports so that you can plug in all of the peripherals that you need. The power socket is also found on the back, and this is where you'll connect the power cord. To connect your computer to the internet,you can use an Ethernet cable to connect your Ethernet port to your modem or router. This port looks a lot like a telephone port, but it's a little bit wider. You’ll use your computer’s monitor port to connect the monitor. There are many different types of monitor ports. This computer has a VGA port, but your computer may have a different kind, such as DVI or HDMI. Expansion slots allow you to upgrade your computer by adding expansion cards. For example,you can add a graphics card to get better gaming performance. Many computers use PS/2 ports to connect the mouse and keyboard. The mouse port is usually green, and the keyboard port is usually purple. If you have a USB mouse and keyboard, then you won't need to use these ports. Finally, some computers have a serial portend a parallel port for connecting to older peripherals such as printers. But today most devices use the USB ports instead. So those are the main types of buttons and ports that you’ll find on a desktop computer. Your computer may have the ports in different places, and it may even have a different type of port, but chances are,most of these basic parts are there.

Operating systems for mobile devices are designed for interactions with smaller touch-screens. Before downloading new software, or applications, to your computer or mobile device, you should check to see if the application is compatible with your operating system. Some applications work on all operating systems, but others only work on certain ones. So, get to know your operating system to see how it works and what it can do.

This can include viruses, spyware, Trojan horses and other types of software. Any computer can get malware, although if you're using a Mac, it's less likely. To protect your computer, you should install an antivirus program such as Kaspersky, Norton,or BitDefender. This helps prevent viruses from being installed, and it also lets you scan your computer and remove any viruses that are found. Keep in mind, no antivirus program is perfect. To stay safe, you should avoid suspicious-looking ads or downloads,run regular updates to your antivirus program, and also run updates to your operating system. To keep your computer running smoothly, Windows has a couple of tools that you can use: DiskCleanup and Disk Defragmenter. You can access these from your Start Menu by going to All Programs, Accessories and then System Tools. Disk Cleanup helps you free up space on your hard drive by scanning your computer for temporary files and other files that can be deleted. Disk Derangement rearranges the data on your hard drive to help your computer run faster and more efficiently. If something bad does happen to your computer, you could lose all of your important files. To prevent this, you should back up your files regularly. One way to do this is to buy an external hard drive and copy your files to it. To make the backup process as easy as possible, you can use software like Windows Backup or Time Machine if you're using a Mac. Of course, if something happens to your computer and your hard drive, you'll still lose all of your files. For more security, you can use an online backup service like Mo zy or Carbonate. You may have to pay a monthly fee to use these services, but the advantage is that your files will stay safe in the cloud, no matter what happens to your computer. Following these tips can help you protect your computer and ensure that all of your important files will be there when you need them.

First, let's talk about how you get malware. Malware is often installed on your computer without your knowledge when you visit certain websites. Sometimes these are good sites that have been compromised by malware creators, and other times, they're simply bad sites built to distribute malicious software. Malware may also be installed when you download a file that appears to be legitimate, but is actually doing things that you didn't want or expect it to do. Malware has been known to do things like delete data on your computer, steal personal information such as credit card numbers and passwords, send spam email, or even attack other networks and computers. One of the most common symptoms of malware that our users report is being taken to an unexpected site after clicking on a search result. These sites are often spam my. But malware can also cause pop-ups, unwanted tool bars,and other strange behavior. To avoid malware from infecting your computer in the first place, it's a good idea to follow a few general guidelines. First, upgrade your operating system and all of your software to the latest versions. Check for new versions regularly, and if possible,turn on automatic updates. Be careful not to click on links that you don't know the destination of or download files from a source that you don't trust. Similarly, before you download email attachments or click links in an email, make sure you trust the sender. And finally, make sure that you're running up-to-date antivirus software. If you think you've already got malware, you can usually also use antivirus software to detect and remove it. There are a number of programs that can remove the most common malware, although you may need to try more than one to catch every instance on your computer. And again, remember to keep all of your antivirus software up to date. Do you remember when you first realized that your computer was more than just a monitor and keyboard?That between the mouse click and the video playing,there was something that captured your intention,understood it,and made it real?What is that something?Is it gremlins?Let's imagine that we can shrink down to the size of an electron and inject ourselves into a click of a mouse. If you took your mouse apart,you'd see that it's really a very simple machine. It has a couple button sand a system for detecting motion and distance. You might have an optical mouse that makes these measurements with lights and sensors,but older ones did this with a hard rubber ballad some plastic wheels. Same concept. When you click the button on your mouse,it sends a message to the computer with information about its position. When your mouse click is received,it's handled by the basic input/output subsystem. This subsystem acts like the eyes and ear sand mouth and hands of the computer. Basically, it provides a way for the computer to interact with its environment. But it also acts like a buffer to keep the CPU from being overwhelmed by distractions. In this case, the I/O subsystem decides that your mouse click is pretty important so it generates an interrupt to the CPU. "Hey, CPU! Got a click here. "The CPU, or central processing unit,is the brains of the whole computer. Just like your brain doesn't take up your whole body,the CPU doesn't take up the whole computer,but it runs the show all the same. And the CPU's job, its whole job,is fetching instructions from memory and executing them. So, while you're typing, typing, typing,maybe really fast,like 60 words a minute,the CPU is fetching and executing billions of instructions a second. Yes, billions every second:instructions to move your mouse around on the screen,to run that clock widget on your desktop,play your internet radio,manage the files you're editing on the hard drive,and much, much more. Your computer's CPU is one heck of a multitask er!"But oh my gosh there's a very important mouse click coming through now!Let's drop everything now and deal with that!"There are programs for everything that the CPU does. A special program for the mouse,for the clock widget,for the internet radio,and for dealing with letters sent by the keyboard. Each program was initially written by a human in a human-readable programming language,like Java,C++,or Python. But human programs take up a lot of space and contain a lot of unnecessary information to a computer,so they are compiled and made smaller and stored in bits of ones and zeros in memory. The CPU realizes that it needs instructions for how to deal with this mouse click,so it looks up the address for the mouse program and sends a request to the memory subsystem for instructions stored there. Each instruction in the mouse device driver is duly fetched and executed. And that's not nearly the end of the story!Because the CPU learns that the mouse was clicked when the cursor was over a picture of a button on the monitor screen,and so, the CPU asks memory for the monitor program to find out what that button is. And then the CPU has to ask memory for the program for the button,which means that the CPU need tithe monitor program again to show the video associated with the button,and so it goes. And let's just say there are a lot of programs involved before you even see the button on the screen light up when you clicked it. So, just the simple task of clicking your mouse means visiting all of the critical components of your computer's architecture:peripherals,the basic input-output system,the CPU,programs,and memory,and not one gremlin.

Viruses, worms and Trojan Horses are all malicious programs that can cause damage to your computer,but there are differences among the three. What Is a Virus? A computer virus attaches itself to a program or file enabling it to spread from one computer to another, leaving infections as it travels. Like a human virus, a computer virus can range in severity: some may cause only mildly annoying effects while others can damage your hardware, software or files. Almost all viruses reattached to an executable file, which means the virus may exist on your computer but it actually cannot infect your computer unless you run or open the malicious program. It is important to note that a virus cannot be spread without a human action, (such as running an infected program)What is a worm? A worm is similar to a virus by design and is considered to be a sub-class of a virus. Worms spread from computer to computer, but unlike a virus, it has the capability to travel without any human action. The biggest danger with a worm is its capability to replicate itself on your system, so rather than your computer sending out a single worm, it could send out hundreds or thousands of copies of itself, creating a huge devastating effect. One example would be for a worm to send a copy of itself to everyone listed in your e-mail address book. Then, the worm rep licatesand sends itself out to everyone listed in each of the receiver's address book, and them anifest continues on down the line. Due to the copying nature of a worm and its capability to travel across networks the end result in most cases is that the worm consumes too much system memory (or network bandwidth),causing Web servers, network servers and individual computers to stop responding. What is a trojan horse? The Trojan Horse, at first glance will appear to be useful software but will actually do damage once installed or run on your computer. Those on the receiving end of a Trojan Horse are usually tricked into opening them because they appear to be receiving legitimate software or files from a legitimate source. Some Trojans are designed to be more annoying (like changing your desktop, adding silly active desktop icons) or they can cause serious damage by deleting files and destroying information on your system. Trojans are also known to create a backdoor on your computer that gives malicious users access to your system, possibly allowing confidential or personal information to be compromised. Unlike viruses and worms, Trojans do not reproduce by infecting other files nor do they self-replicate.

I work for Advanced Technology and Projects group at Google. The hand is the ultimate input device. It's extremely precise, it's extremely fast,and it's very natural for us to use it. Capturing the possibilities of the human handsaw one of my passions. How could we take this incredible capability,the finesse of human actions and finesse of using our hand,but apply it to the virtual world?We use radio frequency spectrum, which is radars,to track human hand. Radars have been used for many different things--to track cars, big objects, satellites and planes. We're using them to track micro motions,twitches, of the human hand and then use that to interact with wearable sand Internet of Thing sand other computing devices. Lien: Our team is focused on taking radar hardware and turning it into a gesture sensor. Radar is a technology which transmits a radio wave towards a target,and then the receiver of the radar intercepts the reflected energy from that target. The reason why we're able to interpret so much from this one radar signals because of the full gesture recognition pipeline that we've built. The various stages of this pipeline are designed to extract specific gesture information from this one radar signal that we receive at a high frame rate. Ami hood: From these strange, foreign range Doppler signals,we are actually interpreting human intent. Karalee: Radar has some unique properties when compared to cameras, for example. It has very high positional accuracy,which means that you can sense the tiniest motions. Rana: What I think I'm most proud of about our project is,we have pushed the processing power of the electronics itself further outta do the sensing part for us. Poulterer: The radar has a property which no other technology has. It can work through materials. You can embed it into objects. It allows us to track really precise motions. And what is most exciting about it's that you can shrink the entire radar and put it in a tiny chip. That's what makes this approach so promising. It's extremely reliable. There's nothing to break. There's no moving parts. There's no lenses. There's nothing, just a piece of sand on your board. Schweppes: Now we are at a point where we have the hardware where we can sense these interactions,and we can put them to work. We can explore how well they work and how well they might work in products. Poulterer: It blows your mind, usually,when you see things people do. And that I'm really looking forward to. Hey guys, Ethiopia here, and for the last few months, so many people have been asking me if it's possible to upgrade the PS3 to the PS4just like it's possible to upgrade the Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and yes I've finally figured it out, this is gonna show you have to upgrade the PS3to the PS4 for free. It's really not that hard, might take a couple of minutes, but I think you'll have no problem with it. Basically what's gonna happen is we're gonna trick the PS3 into installing a PS4 update,so it's gonna overwrite the OS, and wipe everything offs that we can get that PS4 OS on there. Now it's no surprise that this upgrade process is similar to that of the Xbox 360,but it is a little bit different. Again we're going to be using the game disc update,these are updates that are on a PS4 disc that are mainly for people who don't have an internet connection and so they can update their system and play games that requires certain system version, without having to download that update. So you're just going to need any PS4 disc, I'm going to be using call of duty Ghosts but it really doesn't matter which one you use. Now the way we're going to upgrade through this disc is different from the regular update process. We're gonna have to boot into a special safe mode on the PS3 to ghetto this more lenient upgrade process, so I'll walk you through it, and it's not that hard, but I want to point out that there's no way to go back from this. Once you get to the PS4, you're stuck there also, that means that any data on the PS3is gonna be gone, it's gonna be all wiped, you're installing a whole new OS. So obviously, as always, if you have anything important on there, back it up now. We're going to go to the PS4 right now and I'll show you exactly what you have to do. Alright so I'm at the TV with the PS3 and obviously it is off right now. You want to start with the PS3 off, you want to unplug any USB drives or anything. The only thing you want to have plugged in is a controller or two. Those are the only things you can have plugged in, and then you want to boot into safe mode by doing the following process. Alright so we want to boot into safe mode, don't put your disc in yet, just have it ready. What you want to do is first, with the Play station 3 off, pres sand hold the power button. After 5 or so seconds, you're going to hear a bee pand then you wait a few more secondhand then you're going to hear another beep, and the play station is going to turn off. Alright so there we go now we want to do the same thing, press and hold,after 5 seconds there is going to be a beep, and then shortly after you're going to hear two beeps. Now it's going to boot into safe mode, and at this point, you want to put in your PS4 disc. So when you boot into safe mode, this is the first thing you'll get, you gotta connect a USB cable,with a controller. Now I already have one controller. Now,be very careful at this menu. If you select the wrong thing,it's going to completely wipe your system, and it's no going to upgrade to PS4. So ignore everything except you want to go down to System Update. Do not click any of the other options, except perhaps Restart System. Now, once you click system update,it's going to say connect that contains data, then press start and select at the same time, but we're not gonna do this, because we already have the disc in there,and it's gonna just look for the media, and it's really lenient so it's gonna be tricked anyway, so we're gonna press start and select. It's checking. Now we don't have any USB drives, so hopefully it's going to see the discard read the update off of that. Alright so it took a while but it's finally preparing to update and it just says "Do not Turn off The System", obviously. Now it's just reading from the disc now, so hopefully it's gonna work it's worked in the past, so I know it will. And I'm just going to skip through I guess. . . . OK so we're at 95 and we're about to get to the end of update processing, and then we'll see what happens after this, I believe there is going to be more prompts. So we'll see what happens,because it's done now. Alright so that took longer than expected, but we're back and it's ready to do the update it says PS3 system 4. 75, I think it just defaults to that because it's the latest version of the PS3, so we're just gonna press the PS button, but really it's going to update to the PS4So checking update data. . . please wait. . . Alright and after it checks, we now get to the agreement just get through all that, do not turn it off during the update, obviously, and now we're ready to install the update it's now installing the PS4 OS onto the PS3Again, I'm just going to skip through so you guys don't have to watch, and we'll see what happens at the end of the update. . . Oh wow, ok, it just zoomed to the end there!Alright so I guess it's restarting now, that applied really quickly. And. . . yea och here's the boot up logo, let's see if it went through completely, and alright so here it is, we're at the setup screen and it worked, and you can see, I'm not going to go through the whole thing, buyout know, it's going to ask us to set it all up, but you guys can see that it worked and that's all there is to it, you now have a free PS4. And that is it! You should now have a freely upgraded PS4 running on a PS3I haven't even noticed any performance issues, you might though because it is older hardware. I'm not sure if Sony is going to patch this I doubt it, because it is an older generation console,so you should be good for a while. Now with your game disc, first of all , it's best to prevent rather than cure, basically ifyou can look after your game disc, it will prevent them being scratched. So, again if you got the packaging it came with, leave it in the box, you can even lea vat in the console because it won't spin around too much. Don't leave it face down on the table,you'll scratch it; don't use it as a drink coaster, that's your best preventative tip. If you do find scratches, then you can take a lint free cloth and some alcohol and try to polish out the scratch, now this will polish out light scratches but if you've got a really heavy gouge, then you have probably ruined the disc beyond repair and there's no pointing taking it back to the shop, because if you scratched a car, you would never be able to take it back to the dealer. When you're polishing out the scratch, remember take the lint free cloth with some alcohol and wipe from the center outwards, always from the center outwards, never around and never rub it back and front, from the center, but keep on going. Remember, prevention is always better than cure. Look after your disc, and your disc will look after you. And that's how to repair a scratch on the Xbox 360 game disc. .

(Associated Press photo)Los Angeles: California regulators have unveiled a road map that would let consumers begin using self-driving cars, though manufacturers would have to prove the emerging technology is safe before a licensed driver could get chauffeured around town. The approach California's Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offered Wednesday in precedent-setting draft regulations is cautious, though it does allow that Californians could be behind the wheel of a self-driving car by 2017. Among other safety-related requirements, the cars must have a steering wheel, and a licensed driver must be ready to take over if the machine fails. Google, which is pushing to get cars without a steering wheel or pedals to consumers, expressed "grave disappointment" with the rules, which the tech giant said would slow deployment of technology with huge life-saving potential. Though no manufacturer has said it thinks the cars are ready just yet, at least a dozen are developing the technology. Google has suggested a model could be ready for limited use sooner than the public expects. In September, the safety chief of its self-driving car project, Ron Medford, said the technology is "close to working pretty damn well. "California's go-slow approach could benefit Texas, which this summer emerged as a competitor in the deployment of self-driving cars when officials in the capital city of Austin welcomed Google prototypes for company-sponsored testing. "Given the potential risks associated with deployment of such a new technology, DMV believes that manufacturers need to obtain more experience in testing driver less vehicles on public roads prior to making this technology available to the general public," the agency said in a written summary of its draft regulations. Those draft rules set out how the DMV wants to move beyond the current small-scale testing of prototypes on public roads. The DMV can change the rules over the coming months before they are finalized, and the industry is sure to lobby for significant changes. That process will further delay rules that were due at the start of 2015. After all, cars that can safely drive themselves under all conditions wouldn't rely on drivers who may be drowsy, distracted, buzzed - or unable to drive because of their age or a disability. Boosters say the technology could prevent many of the more than 32,000 deaths on U. S. roads each year. The cars use a suite of sensors - including radar, lasers and cameras - and inboard computers to drive. Eleven companies already have permission to test on California's public roads, with Ford the latest addition. There have been scattered collisions, nearly all involving Google cars. Those collisions have been minor, and the tech giants says each has been caused by drivers of other cars. Google spokesman Johnny Lu said the company was "gravely disappointed" by the draft regulations. "Safety is our highest priority and primary motivator as we do this," he said in a written statement. The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers industry group was not publicly critical, perhaps because traditional automakers the group represents are phasing in features such as automatic braking and cruise control that adjusts to the speed of other vehicles - instead of jumping to a car that drives itself, as Google envisions. Meanwhile, a consumer group applauded the draft rules as appropriately cautious. The DMV "did exactly what they should do, which is put the public safety first," said John Simpson, privacy project director at Consumer Watchdog and frequent Google critic.
It's not always the easiest task to compare an Android device with one running iOS. Most people choose one platform or another as a personal preference or an investment into the ecosystem that provides what they need. Hey what's up everyone, this is Dom and today we're comparing Apple's iPhone 6 Plus to the Motorola-made Google Nexus 6. There are benefits to each side, but which one is right for you? Well let's go ahead and find out. Today we're going to be comparing the design, specifications, features, and camera performance between these two flagship alphabets. There may not be a clear winner at the end of the day, but I'll leave that discussion for the comments section below. First up, we have Google's Nexus 6. This is a much larger device than its predecessor and is a step up in nearly every department. The Nexus 6 features a massive 5. 96-inch Displeasure with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 coming in at 493 pip. As for its internals,it's packing a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2. 7GHz, 3GB of RAM, the Adreno420 GPU, and a 3,220 meh battery. It's no surprise that Google's Nexus 6 is loaded up with the best specs available. Along with that, it's the first smartphone shipping with Android 5. 0 Lollipop which offers new design characteristics, a highly optimized experience, and performs like a winner. Because there's not a third-party skin running on top of the operating system, it will be hardtop find areas where the Nexus 6 will fail you. As for the iPhone 6 Plus, we have a 5. 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080(401 pip), a dual-core Apple A8 chip clocked at 1. 4GHz, a quad-core Power GX6450 GPU,1GB of RAM, and a 2,915 meh battery. If you've used iOS before, this device is going to offers very similar experience. Apple is known for its software optimization and it will be hard to find any major performance issues here. Each device is going to offer a quality build and design, but there's one thing you may notice about the Nexus 6. It takes on most all of the design characteristics from Motorola's2014 Moro X. Along the outside we have a smooth metal frame that keeps everything together,while the back side features a hard plastic design. Don't let the plastic fool you though,this feels like a very solid device. The iPhone 6 Plus features a uni body aluminum design that lives up to Apple's design standards. The curved edges do make it a bit harder to grip, but if a full metal build is your cup of tea, the iPhone 6 Plus may be for you. As far as layout goes, with the Nexus 6 you'll find a 3. 5mm headphone jack and Nano SIM card tray on the top, while the bottom makes room for the Micro USB charging port and a small microphone. On the right side we have the volume rocker and a lock button, but that's not where the fun ends. Along with a 5. 96-inch display, the front side features a 2-megapixel camera, the appropriate sensors, and dual front-facing stereo speakers. Finally, on the back side we have a 13-megapixelshooter with optical image stabilization capable of recording up to UHD video quality, a dual-LED flash in a ring diff user setup, a small microphone, and our Nexus branding with the Motorola logo centered in a finger-sized dimple. Google's Nexus 6 also comes with wireless Qi charging capabilities and Motorola's special Turbo Charger which will provide up to 6 additional hours of battery life from a single 15 minute charging session. Moving over to Apple's iPhone 6 Plus, on the front you'll find an earpiece, the appropriate-sensors, a 1. 2-megapixel front facing camera, and the circular home button with a built-in fingerprint scanner that Apple calls Touch ID. This will allow you to easily unlock the device, authenticate various apps, or make mobile payments using Apple Pay. On the right side of the iPhone 6 Plus we have the sleep/wake power button and its Nano SIM card tray, while the left side features its volume buttons and a mute switch. You won't find anything on the top of the iPhone 6 Plus, but the bottom features a microphone,3. 5mm headphone jack, Lightning port for charging, and a small speaker. Finally, on the back we have an 8-megapixel camera and dual-LED flash with optical image stabilization capable of shooting up to 1080p video at 30/60 frames per second and up to 240 frames per second at 720p. While the Nexus 6 features a larger display that the iPhone 6 Plus, they are nearly identical in size. Motorola's design keeps the bezels to a minimum, while Apple took an existing design and scaled it to fit a larger format. At the end of the day, both of these devices are very large. Because of this, it's likely that you'll want to use two hands with either of them. The iPhone 6 Plus offers a feature called Reach ability that may prove to be useful in the one-handed department, but it's not perfect and in most cases it's easier to use two hands. Unfortunately, you won't find any one-handed features with the Nexus 6, but that may not deal breaker for everyone. The software experience between these two devices is highly based on preference, but there are aspects about both that lead to a great experience. The iPhone 6 Plus is running IOS 8 and offers a highly optimized feature set with a very minimalist approach. If you've used iOS before, this device won't be too hard to navigate. The home screen provides space with multiple pages to store and organize apps and you'll find most of the device's bells and whistles in the Settings app, Notification Center,and Control Center. Overall Apple keeps iOS very simplistic, but that's what most user shave grown to expect. With the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple has introduced a landscape mode that works with the home screen and inside of most compatible apps. While this is nothing new from an Android perspective, it's definitely a welcomed change for iOS devices. There are plenty of other aspects that create iOS 8's user experience, and if you'd like to know more about them,I'll leave a top features video linked below. With the Nexus 6, we're running Android 5. 0 Lollipop. This is going to be one of the best Android experiences you'll find, at least from a performance and design perspective. It may not include any of the specialized features that you'll get with a Samsung, LG or HTC device, but it's definitely the cleanest Android experience overall. Android 5. 0 Lollipop brings a lot to the table. We have a revamped interface that Google calls Material design and everything is put together with fluid transitions and pleasant animations. In Google's eyes, this is the best Android experience you can get. With the fresh design and optimization happening here, it would be hard to argue with them. The Nexus 6 is Google's baseline for Android devices for the next year or so and it packs a ton of performance with an enjoyable experience. While Android may offer more rationalization options, the feature set between these two devices is going to be similar in some ways. Both mobile operating systems have seen improvements across the board and there's no right or wrong choice here. Which device you choose will be dependent on where your loyalty lies and which platform you've invested in the most. Both cameras feature optical image stabilization, but the Nexus 6 beats the iPhone 6 Plus on paper with a 13-megapixel camera. Don't underestimate the 8-megapixel shooter found on the iPhone6 Plus though. Each camera has its strong points and weaknesses, but I'll let you Bethe judge on this one. In my experience, the iPhone 6 Plus does win in low-light performance,but in bright environments it'll be hard to declare either device as the champion. For video recording the iPhone 6 Plus shoots up to 1080p at 30 or 60 frames per second. It's definitely solid camera for capturing video and the optical image stabilization helps to keep photos and videos steady. Google's Nexus 6 shoots up to UHD video quality and also includes optical image stabilization to help shaky hands. Both of these cameras are capable of great things and you won't be disappointed either way, but let me know your thoughts in the comments section. So which one should you get? Well, I'm not here to tell you which of these devices is better. In fact, it would be hard to declare either one as the clear winner. Both the iPhone6 Plus and Nexus 6 have great builds and offer best in class performance in their respective areas. Aside from iOS vs Android, it's going to come down to which device suits you the best. Thanks to the clean Android install running on the Nexus 6, it's going to be a great phone for anyone making the switch from iOS. On the other side, Android users may find iOS to be very simple, but at the same time deliver performance in an aluminum and glass slab. How well does Microsoft's latest operating system run on Apple hardware? We're going to find out as we install Windows 10 on a 2015 Macbook Pro. Stay tuned. Installing Widows 10 on a new Macbook Pro is actually very easy. You need two things to get started: a USB drive with at least 4GB of space, and the Windows 10 ISO. You should also backup OS 10 just in case. In OS 10, launch your preferred web browser and head to Microsoft's website to download Windows 10. We'll put the address down below, or toucan just do a search for Windows 10 ISO. Once you have downloaded the files, you want to open up Boot Camp. Boot Camp will walk you through the process, including formatting the USB drive and installing the ISO files to it. Remember that your USB drive will be formatted during the process, so remove any personal files that you do not want to delete. During the process, you will also be asked to set the partition to where Windows 10 will be installed. This is your choice. You can leave the majority to OS 10 as your primary OS, or give 200 GB to Windows 10. You can also split it evenly. Remember: you cannot later re-size the Windows 10 partition, so think this through. Otherwise, you will need to use a third-party app to adjust the partition, or through Boot Camp to lead the Windows 10installation and start all over. Once a partition is setup, the computer will re-boot. You'll hear that famous Apple gong,and then a black display. Don't worry-- it may take a little while, but you'll soon see that Microsoft indicator as Windows 10 begins to load. Now we are getting into Windows. We need to first select a partition to install the new apps. This step is very important, as you could accidentally format your OS 10 partition if you are not careful. Make sure you choose the Boot Camp partition. In this case, itis easy and is the last one and matches the 200 GB I allocated in initial setup, and notice that the text is very tiny, due to the Windows drivers not yet scaling-- we'll fix this later. The OS installer will walk you through the rest. Remember: if you do not have a Windows product key, you can skip entering it and it will still install the OS. You can use Windows 10 without buying it, you just cannot customize the look. You will have a watermark on the lower right-hand corner. Installation can take upwards of 15-20 minutes. Your computer will re-boot as it installs drivers and configures the apps. Finally, we are now in Windows 10. You may see upwards of 25 apps that need to be updated, including the store itself. Don't be surprised if the store suddenly quits, as this is simply being updated. Windows 10is now ready for the world. Surprisingly, everything works as it should with a MacbookPro-- Wi-Fi, audio, keyboard controls for screen brightness and volume also work. The command key rightly brings up the start menu. Even Cortland works as it should. You can even plug in an X-Box One controller and play the latest Halo Windows game from the store. Battery life is also excellent, often pushing past 10 hours on a single charge. Additionally, for traditional PC users, you can download a third-party app from GitHub to reverse the track pad scrolling. Apple's track pad scrolls one way, whereas PCs are reversed. Once you download and flip the settings, you will need to re-boot for the settings to take effect. Remember: you can use Windows 10 without a product key for as long as you want, but you cannot change certain settings and you have that watermark; however, if you do want to register and buy a license, Microsoft made it very simple. Go to Settings - Update and security activation and pick go to store. This will open up the Windows store and here you can buy a home or pro license for $119 or $199, respectively. Overall, Windows 10 runs fantastic on the Macbook Pro 2015. Battery life is great, performances outstanding and there is nothing that doesn't work. Even the track pad experience is quite solid.
