Samsung Galaxy Note5 : Official Hands-on - S Pen & Entertainment

The new Galaxy Note 5 is a device built to help you do more, and the re-designed S Pen makes that very clear. As you can see, Samsung has redesigned the Air Command actions from legacy models allowing you to access the interface options users love and then add apps of your choosing. You can even customize its position to the left or the right side of the screen or delete it. If I’m reading an article I want to share,I can use the improved Screen Write feature to snag multiple pages format them into one full image, and save it in my gallery. It’s called Scroll Capture. As I add more pages, I can see a preview of my document’s length. I can also add a personal message right on the page and share with friends. And with Smart Select, I can easily share images exactly the way I want. Picture-wise, the Note 5’s specs are top of the line in the smartphone market. It’s got a 16 megapixel rear cam with a real-time HDR feature that ensures every picture you take is crystal clear. An f stop of 1. 9 allows you to photograph in low light. The 5 megapixel front cam shares the real-time HDR feature and an f stop of 1. 9 so I can take great selfies and then add a filter. There’s a new Video Collage Mode which allows me to combine multiple videos into one piece. I can choose how many frames I want and even apply different filters to clips without ever having to go into a separate app. The Note 5’s optics span way past pretty pictures, into super high quality video. The 5’s powerful processor and 4 GBs of RAM keep things moving,so whether I’m watching a video or using Samsung’s first to market multi window feature, doing more is not a problem.
