We are Adam and Joanne from welcome to our kitchen. We are showing you how we make oven-baked sweet potato fries. Heat your oven to 450FScrub then cut the sweet potatoes into 1/2-inch sticks. To cut sweet potatoes, we like creating a flat surface first. This way the potato won’t roll around on you when you are cutting. It’s much safer this way. From there, cut the potato into slices. Then, cut each slice into sticks. Add the sweet potatoes to a bowl. Add some oil - we like using olive oil -some salt and freshly ground black pepper — this is also a great time to add any other seasonings you love. Give everything a toss then place the sweet potatoes onto baking sheets and spread into one layer. We like using two baking sheets since the fries brown better when they are not crowded. Also, it’s best that the baking sheets be lined with foil and preheated. This all helps with browning. Bake the sweet potato fries, turning once and rotating pans once,until the edges are lightly browned and centers are tender this takes 15 to 25 minutes. The fries are done when the surface looks dry and the fries have puffed up a little. Serve fries with a sprinkle of extra salt on top.
